Running clubs really help me stay motivated! But I’m with you…by now the heat has me so unmotivated. And I live in Florida so I pretty much take a break every summer. Winter is harder too because it gets dark earlier so I don’t want to have to run at 5 pm. Running with other people makes things so much easier…I’ve joined a Galloway training group for this fall.

I can’t even imagine trying to run in Florida during the summer (although, I don’t love Chicago during the winter either)! I swear I can run faster and farther with less effort when I am in a group than when I am on my own.

I’ve been taking a class at a local studio and, for only $3 a class, it’s been the best workout ever!

That’s awesome! I’m always looking for fun ways to change it up (especially inexpensive ways)!

Yes, I can definitely relate to the daylight! I enjoy running and training so much more in the spring/summer/fall. I love the tips to try new things!

It’s just soooooo much harder for me to get out of bed when it’s dark – and especially when it’s dark AND cold!

Great post! I agree I have to do different things all the time in different places or I get bored. I love to walk/run hills run, and run the stairs too (Really it’s kind of the laziness in me wanting to stay in one place with my drink).
I also love born to run and I will have to check out your other link.
    Thanks!
